West Coast Wellness Market
Join us at the Village Green for the First West Coast Wellness Market hosted by the Westcoast Community Resources Society! The Gaia Team will be handing out free treats and offering our new E-Booklet “good mood food”. This free event will bring different community members from the Pacific Rim with three goals in mind:
Firstly, to promote access to resources, services, and education by partnering with the major health organizations and services in the area.
Secondly, to provide support for substance misuse through positive coping strategies, education, awareness, and community.
Thirdly, the market promotes an inclusive approach to healing and growth by providing a link between mental health-focused services and wellness-based local businesses.
The Wellness Market will provide all members of the community with positive coping strategies and further access to supports while promoting a shift towards more compassionate and community-based approaches for improved community health.

Love whales? Love Your Beach Clean!
Did you know that Grey whales are primarily benthic feeders? That means they scoop their food up off the bottom of the ocean - which is unfortunately where a lot of anthropogenic debris like plastic accumulates.
Join the team from Gaia Grocery and Surfrider Pacific Rim on Chesterman Beach to learn how you can help keep the whales' habitat clean and plastic free. Please bring your own beach clean gloves and bucket, and a reusable mug for free refreshments!
This is a fun and educational event for the whole family. Pacific Whale Fest Buttons will be available on site if you still don't have yours.
