We are excited to now be open and serving our community super natural groceries at 150 4th street in Tofino 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm.

 No matter how you order, you will have the option to choose between home delivery (within Tofino, Ty Histanis and Esowista) or pick-up at Gaia Grocery in Tofino. Place your order by 5pm to receive same-day, 2-hour delivery.

How to Order

When are you open and taking orders?

We are open 7 days a week, from 10am to 7pm, and will be available by phone or email during those times. You may choose to place an order by email outside of our open hours, in which case you can expect a reply from us within 2 hours of opening the following day.

Are all your products listed online?

Yes. Our complete inventory, including produce and bulk items, will be listed in our online shop as soon as they’re available for purchase. No matter how you prefer to place your order (phone, online or email), start by browsing our online shop. Questions about a product? How do I place an order by phone?

Start by browsing our online shop, make your list, and give us a call at 250-725-0237 7 days a week, between 10am and 7pm. If the line is busy, please leave a message and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. We will ask you whether you’d like to receive a home delivery or pick up your order at the shop. A receipt will be emailed to you upon completion of your order.

How do I place an order by email?

How do I place an order online?

Browse our online store, add items to your cart, and click on the cart icon anytime you feel ready to check out. You will have an option to review your order before placing it, so you can add or remove items at that point, as well. For online orders, we accept Visa and Mastercard. When you’re finished, you will be given the option between home delivery or pick up. A receipt will be emailed to you upon completion of your order. Questions about a product? How do I pick up my order?

If you choose to pick up your order at Gaia Grocery, we will offer you a pick-up time. When you arrive, there will be social distancing guidelines posted outside the shop, so that you can safely pick up your order without coming in close contact with our staff or other members of the community. We ask that if you are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms whatsoever, to please opt for home delivery; we would be more than happy to deliver immune-boosting, natural foods straight to your door.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa and Mastercard for all orders. If picking up at the store, we will also be able to safely process Debit via contactless tap transaction. 

When can I expect my order to be delivered?

If you place your order before 5 pm, you can expect to receive a home delivery within 2 hours on the same day. If you order after 5 pm, expect delivery within 2 hours of our opening the following day. Please note: there is a $20 minimum order amount required for local home delivery – and all deliveries are free of charge.

I follow specific dietary guidelines, can you advise me on your product selection?

Yes. We would love to help you shop in accordance with your dietary needs and preferences, and have a staff nutritionist available via phone or email 7 days a week. We aim to have something for everyone at Gaia Grocery, so we would love the opportunity to learn more about your dietary concerns and needs.

What is the difference between sustainable, local and organic? Are all your products organic?

From the very beginning, we have been conscious about sourcing products with the highest levels of quality available, while keeping in mind affordability and accessibility. Gaia Grocery has something for everyone, so we don’t exclusively carry organic-only food items. However, in every item we select, we strive for a mix of the very best in products that are: locally sourced (whether that means from Tofino, Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada, or the Pacific Northwest, depending on the product), as sustainable as possible (brands that follow ethical guidelines, Fairtrade certifications and sustainable packaging), and certified organic (zero harmful chemicals means improved health for both the farmers and our customers). Not all our products will meet all of these criteria, but our goal is to tick as many healthy boxes as possible in order to provide you with the most reliable selection. We take the guesswork out of grocery shopping, so you can focus on easily nourishing yourself and your family.
